Helen Szigeti’s experience in the information industry includes both scholarly publishing and academic librarianship, working at the intersection of technology evaluation, program assessment, product development, and research services. Previously, Helen served as Associate Director for Business Development at HighWire Press/Stanford University, and in a variety of editorial, research, product development, and global sales strategy positions at Thomson Scientific/ISI (now Clarivate Analytics). She began her professional career in the role of Assistant Librarian at the University of Pennsylvania Health Sciences Libraries prior to her move into publishing.
Helen is active in the scholarly publishing community and in industry leadership roles, most recently as Program Director for the Society for Scholarly Publishing (2016–2018) and previously as a member of the ALPSP North American Chapter Steering Committee (2005–2014) and Co-chair of the NISO Business Information Topic Committee (2007–2011). Helen holds a master’s degree in Information Studies from Drexel University, and a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from the University of Chicago.
